Self Contained Cable Hauling Recovery Winch

One off Self contained winch was designed in conjunction with two off cable reel stands. The equipment is used to perform the cable change operation for the 12 cable ferry crossings on the Murray River in Australia. The two cable reel stands are positioned on one riverbank and the recovery winch is positioned on the other. The recovery winch is used to haul the new cables across the river using the old cables to haul them, the old cables are recovered onto the winch drum which is later bound and split in halves for for disposal.

Two off Dual Rope winches were designed in conjunction with our client for the rapid opening and closing of Blast proof doors in a mining application. Each winch has two ropes, as one rope winds off the other winds on, each rope is connected through a series of sheaves to one end of each door, the winch is reversed to open/shut the doors. In addition the winches are fitted with a manual override crank handle in case of power failure the doors can still be operated.

Six off 150 kN Mooring winches with unique waterfall configuration to save deck space. The winches have 500 kN manual band brakes and full de-clutcheable drums to allow anchors to be positioned by powered vessel. The 6 point mooring system is direct electric drive with full variable speed control. The control is either a 25m wired pendant or radio control. Each winch will hold 300m of 32mm wire rope and is finished in a combination of Galvanized, Zink-Aluminium Metal spray and epoxy marine paint. Rollers on the front of each winch guides the ropes closer to deck level for operator safety.
