• Project Overview

  The project was to design and build a 100T line pull winch for recovering longwall machines from underground during seam move. The winch uses 2 off 350,000 Nm planetary wheel drives to produce the required torque, the rope used is a 60mm Dyneema. The winch has an onboard closed loop hydraulic system which is driven by a special motor that runs on the underground emulsion 95/5.
